Pioneering Professional Management
The Bangalore Management Association (BMA) was founded on October 10, 1953. It was one of the very first organizations in India dedicated to teaching and promoting good management practices. BMA is affiliated with the All India Management Association (AIMA) in New Delhi.
BMA is a nonprofit organization. Our goal is simple: help managers and business leaders do their jobs better. We do this through seminars, workshops, conferences, training programs, talks, and research — all focused on management ideas that work well in India.
Over the years, BMA has hosted many respected leaders and thinkers, including Peter Drucker, Mother Teresa, N.R. Narayana Murthy (Infosys), former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, and many others. We have also honored outstanding leaders such as Sudha Murthy, Dr. Devi Shetty, Azim Premji, and Dr. K. Kasturirangan for their contributions to society.
For close to 70 years, BMA has grown alongside Bangalore — India’s tech capital — building new programs to meet the changing needs of managers and business leaders. We are also building our own Management Development Centre; the ground floor is already complete.
